About us
Space Coast Claws is a locally owned business based in Brevard County, serving the greater Central Florida area. We specialize in in-home nail trimming for cats, dogs, and other pets. We believe nail care shouldn't have to be a big production. Not every pet needs a full groom, but regular nail trims are an important part of keeping them comfortable and healthy. That's why we created Space Coast Claws: to make routine nail care simple, convenient, and less stressful for pets and their people, all in the comfort of home.

What types of pets do you work with?
We provide nail trimming for cats, dogs, and other small pets, including guinea pigs, birds, and hamsters. If you have a pet that isn't listed, reach out and ask! We'll let you know if we can help.
Do you work with fearful, nervous, or reactive pets?
Absolutely! We work with pets of different temperaments and comfort levels, including those who may feel anxious, fearful, or reactive during nail trims. Every visit is tailored to your pet's individual needs.
Can you trim overgrown nails?
We'll do our best to help with overgrown nails. However, if the nails have grown into or are embedded in the paw pads, we recommend visiting a veterinarian, as this may require medical care.
What if my dog can't get their nails trimmed at a groomer or veterinarian?
That's one of the situations we're happy to discuss! Some pets do better in their familiar home environment. While we can't guarantee every pet can be safely trimmed, we'll work with you to determine whether our service is a good fit.
Do you offer full grooming or bathing?
No. We specialize in nail trimming and related nail-care services rather than full grooming or bathing.
Do I need to provide a muzzle for my dog?
No. We have muzzles in a range of sizes and can bring one if appropriate for your dog's needs. Please let us know ahead of time if your dog may require one.
What happens if my pet won't let us trim their nails?
Your pet's safety and comfort come first. If a trim cannot be completed safely, we may need to pause or stop the appointment rather than force the process. We'll discuss the next steps with you.
Are vaccinations required to book an appointment?
We do not require proof of vaccinations for our in-home nail-trimming service. Because we work in your home rather than a shared grooming facility, our exposure considerations are different. We still encourage keeping your pet's vaccinations up to date for their overall health and protection.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept card and contactless payments, including Apple Pay, through our tap-to-pay card reader. We also accept cash tips.
Can I tip my pet's nail trimmer?
Of course! Tips are appreciated but never expected. We accept cash tips.
